The Irish Genealogical and Historical Society (IGHS) is a USA 501(c)3 charity. We fulfill our mission through your support, which includes subscribing to this channel and your donations.

Our mission is to foster an appreciation for the history and genealogy of Ireland. Through preservation and education, IGHS also encourages an interest and knowledge of past and present events, cultural heritage and the people of Ireland. This instills a sense of pride in being Irish. 

Consistent with this objective, IGHS will continue to collect resources, acquire facilities to house resources, function as a repository for items of historical significance, recruit human assets to process and care for these resources, as well as implement technologies to preserve and provide physical and virtual access for everyone. 

IGHS encourages interest in local history through In-person and virtual gatherings, meetings, lectures, publications, websites, discussion boards and other public forums.
