Eta Beta Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority Inc. 

Founded in 1929 by Lola Mercedes Parker in Chicago, Illinois, Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is the first African American Greek-letter business and professional women’s organization. Since its founding, Iota has grown to include chapters across the United States and abroad, all united by a mission to:

Unite in sisterhood
Promote interest in business education
Encourage leadership development
Foster civic responsibility
Promote higher standards of scholarship

Eta Beta Chapter, chartered in 2024,  carries this legacy forward by engaging in programs that support education, mentorship, economic empowerment, and civic engagement. Our service initiatives include scholarships, youth development programs, community partnerships, and events that celebrate and elevate women in business and leadership.

As part of the Southwestern Region, Eta Beta is dedicated to advancing the sorority’s motto:
