Ifugao Center for Living Culture

The Ifugao Center for Living Culture is one of many places all over the world that offer a chance to reconnect with indigenous knowledge and culture. It is a newly developing space to share intercultural knowledge that can be integrated into your life and used forever. The Center aims to teach people the Ifugao culture, but we are also excited to be able to host other living tribes from around the world, as well as visit them in their spaces, because knowledge is best used together and connected. In our workshops and curriculum at the Center, we combine multiple traditional techniques to teach and practice. At the heart of our teachings is a belief that it is important to live simply, with a connection to the earth, and to always be in communion with our ancestors.

Mamerto “Lagitan” Tindongan is an 8th generation Mumbaki (native priest) from the Ifugao tribe in the Northern Philippines who travels and teaches internationally.
