Home, wherever I am

Hi, I’m Brenda 👋

Home, Wherever I Am is about long-term minimalist living, solo female travel, and creating a life that feels intentional.

I’ve been living in small spaces in New Zealand for years — from container homes to full-time motorhome living — and I’m about to begin a new chapter travelling the world for at least three months while living aboard a cruise ship.

In my first year on the road, I travelled with my elderly cat. More recently, I’ve pet sat between adventures, making myself at home in other people’s homes while caring for their often-entertaining animals — an experience that has led me to write two books.

On this channel, I share the realities of alternative living: what it costs, how I work and stay connected, safety as a solo woman, whether I get lonely, and what makes a place truly feel like home.
