Historic American Music with Rick Benjamin

Rick Benjamin is the founder and conductor of the world-renowned Paragon Ragtime Orchestra (PRO) and a noted expert on 19th and early 20th century American music. He maintains active careers as a pianist, researcher, author, and producer. He also organizes the Symposium on Historic American Music at Susquehanna University, where he is now an adjunct professor.

Since 1985, Rick Benjamin has crisscrossed the United States searching attics, basements, abandoned buildings - and other unusual places - for lost musical scores, artifacts, and stories. He has built a unique collection of tens of thousands of items from the 1800s and early 1900s, which he presents to the public in the form of concerts, recordings, broadcasts, and lectures.

This channel will host documentaries and interviews giving insight into the world of historic American music and musicians.
