Hatestinger

Hatestinger is a Montreal thrash metal power trio delivering relentless old-school aggression with modern sonic precision. Founded in 2023 by guitarist and vocalist Olivier Pontbriand.

Drawing inspiration from the ferocity of Exodus, Kreator, and Demolition Hammer, Hatestinger blends razor-sharp riffing, violent lyrical imagery, and high-speed intensity with a contemporary production edge. The band expanded into a full lineup in 2024 with Pascal Langevin on drums and Serge Iofik on bass and backing vocals, transforming the project into a hard-hitting power trio built for the stage.

Following the release of the Hate at First Sight music video in 2025, Hatestinger continues to build momentum with their second EP Led by the Curse, available now!

Fast, aggressive, and uncompromising, Hatestinger represents a new wave of Montreal thrash keeping the spirit of the genre alive while pushing it forward with modern firepower. 🧨
