"Global Prayers - Redemption and Liberation in the City" is an academic and cultural research project developed by the "Europa-Universität Viadrina" (www.europa-uni.de), the "Haus der Kulturen der Welt" (www.hkw.de) and "metroZones - Center for Urban Affairs" (www.metrozones.info).

With an innovative combination of academic and artistic methods "global prayers" aims to investigate the renaissance of religion in the world's metropolises such as Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, Mumbai, Lagos, Nairobi, Beirut or Berlin.
