Gillies McIndoe Research Institute

At Gillies McIndoe Research Institute, we believe in making a difference where it matters most—by offering hope and healing to patients who have few options. One of the ways we do this is through drug repurposing. Instead of starting from scratch with new drugs, we take existing, proven medications and explore their potential to treat severe conditions like brain cancer, vascular birthmarks, and keloid scars. In our research, we test these medications using cutting-edge techniques like spheroids and organoids. Through our research, we aim to provide patients with non-invasive, more affordable treatment options compared to surgeries or expensive care.
