Gian Majidi The artist daily life (Film, Music)

My name is Gian Majidi. I am a Finnish-Iranian filmmaker, musician, and writer based in Helsinki, Finland.

My debut feature film, The Soldier, has been officially selected by 40 international film festivals across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America, and has won five awards so far.

I am currently in the pre-production of my second feature film, 7/9. Through this video series, I invite you to join me on the journey of making an independent feature film—from the first ideas and pre-production to filming, post-production, and the festival circuit. I'll be sharing the challenges, successes, and everyday realities of independent filmmaking.
