Gateway Online Academy of Ohio

Gateway Online Academy of Ohio is a tuition-free, accredited online public charter school for students in grades 9–12 who need a different path to a diploma — not a lesser one. As a state-designated Dropout Prevention & Recovery school, Gateway serves students who've fallen behind, stepped away from school, or are juggling more than a typical schedule allows.

This is a judgment-free place to rebuild momentum. Our short-block course model lets students focus on just 1–3 classes at a time, move forward as soon as they finish, and choose from multiple paths to a diploma — with structure, not isolation. Real teachers, mentors, and success coaches show up for students who've been counted out before, because every path to graduation looks different.

Students can balance school with work, family, or whatever life has handed them — while still exploring career pathways and building toward what's next.

Gateway gives students the shot they should have had all along. No one's story ends here.
