Gate of Hope Ministries International

Gate of Hope Ministries International is a Christian nonprofit in Louisville, Kentucky walking alongside East African new neighbors as they build life here. Our roots are in East Africa, where we began as a place for families to pray together, find healing, and encourage one another. As people worked to rebuild, we added education and economic programs.

That work crossed the ocean in 2003, when our founders settled in Louisville. Families arriving here were meeting the hurdles of a new language and unfamiliar systems. We helped interpret, mediate, and teach new skills, and as more families came, the ministry grew alongside them.

Through Christ, Gate of Hope encourages, empowers, and educates East African families for a better future.
