Vanha Talo Suomi

Home Renovation & Garden Design in Finland
Vanha Talo Suomi began as a Wordpress blog in 2014 to document renovation of a 1952 Finnish Rintamamiestalo (WWII Soldier Home)
Our private home & garden is located in southern Finland in the town of Lohja, open to the public once yearly during Avoimet Puutarha (Finnish National Open Garden Day Event) or by appointment June - August.

The Vanha Talo Suomi garden site is 3000 sq meters, and showcases several hundred rare and exotic conifers & deciduous cultivars. There is a large curated rose collection, as well as hundreds of flowering hydrangeas, peonies, perennials, various fruiting trees & shrubs and a small tranquil water garden. We are life-time members of the Finnish Dendrology Society.

Something is always blooming in our USDA hardiness zone 5 / Finnish zone II garden.
