Community Baptist is a small, welcoming & inclusive congregation within the American Baptist tradition. Through worship and friendship, study and service, we try to follow the teachings of Jesus and the prophetic witness of the Bible. 

Our purpose is to demonstrate God’s extravagant love and to work alongside other faiths and traditions to achieve God’s vision of a peaceable and just world for all people and all creation.

We believe:
-  The whole cosmos is infused with God’s loving presence.
- All of humanity is lovingly held within this inter-connected web of belonging.
- God’s passionate care for all creation is revealed in Scripture, through the person and work of Jesus, and by the activity of God’s Spirit in our world.
- The Baptist principle of “soul liberty” respects every person’s journey towards the Holy.
- Our role is that of companions on the road of – or to – faith.
