GOE DEEP

Welcome to the official YouTube channel for the Gabon and Oxygenation of Earth - Drilling Early Earth Project (GOEDEEP)! This project is funded by the International Scientific Continental Drilling Project (ICDP) and by the international funding agencies. ICDP GOE-DEEP is an international drilling project investigating the oxygenation of Earth's atmosphere and oceans and the co-evolution of life during the Proterozoic. New cores from the exceptionally well-preserved Franceville Basin of Gabon will provide sedimentological, paleontological, geochronological, and biogeochemical records to help reconstruct environmental conditions during this pivotal chapter of Earth's history.
