Shaping Light is Fun.

Light Changes Everything. I bring you the latest in laser-based technologies that are set to revolutionize our everyday lives. Whether it's ultra-fast communication systems or innovations in healthcare, laser science is transforming the way we live and interact. On this channel, I explore how laser technology is pushing the boundaries of what's possible, from cooking and historical preservation to even weather control. Discover how the science of light is not just shaping the future—it's about to change the way we live, work, and connect. I am Katsuya Tanaka, a Japanese photonics researcher based in the city of light, Jena, Germany.

Most of the visuals in my videos are AI-generated to bring scientific ideas to life with vibrant and dynamic scenes. Some might look a bit exaggerated or unrealistic, but they’re meant to showcase the exciting possibilities of cutting-edge photonics research.
