Friluftsliv in an Airstream Basecamp

Welcome to Friluftsliv in an Airstream Basecamp, a channel dedicated to embracing the Scandinavian philosophy of outdoor living, simplicity, and deep connection with nature, all from the cozy and adventurous setting of an Airstream Basecamp.

Friluftsliv (pronounced free-loofts-liv) is a Norwegian term meaning “free air life” or “open-air living.” It’s about immersing in nature, unplugging from tech, and embracing slow, mindful living.

Carrying a Norwegian last name and a deep appreciation for the outdoors, the Friluftsliv lifestyle speaks to our hearts. Whether it’s hiking, camping, skiing, or simply sitting quietly in nature in rain or shine, we invite you to explore the art of living well outdoors.

Join us and our Standard Poodle Harry as we share our travels and celebrate the beauty of slow, intentional living in wild places.
