You have finished it. The credits roll across the screen. Your eyes are watering. Your hands are shaking. Your breath is warm and rasping across your throat; on the verge of making a hushed sound. You're breathing heavily, with your chest rising and falling, having to bear a weight you've never felt before, as you finished a video game.

What has happened? Weren't you here to have a few hours of fun? Light entertainment, cosy on your couch? Instead, you are now agitated. Thoughts swirl around your head. The world around you, outside the screen, seems otherworldly. The last remnants of cold sweat creep up the collar of your T-shirt, having spread unnoticed from your spine to the back of your neck. You now sense it and ask yourself: Did I just learn something about myself? Has this game actually helped me to understand my fears better?
