Finn Wilder Stories

Finn Wilder Stories is home to original fiction written by Finn Wilder, including warm, character-driven and feel-good stories about family, friendship, belonging and people who are a little different.

In particular, I write stories about Neko characters. Not for the novelty, but for what they represent. They’re mostly human, but with small details that set them apart: a pair of ears, a tail, a quiet otherness that changes how the world perceives them.

My Neko characters are often gentle, uncertain or timid. They aren’t trying to prove anything or change the world. They simply want to live as themselves, without being told they need to become something else.

For me, they’re a simple metaphor for anyone who has ever felt they don’t quite fit, and would rather find their own place in the world than change themselves simply to conform.
