Festival of Mongolia in New York City

The Festival of Mongolia in New York City presented a very large-scale series of public Mongolian cultural programs celebrating the history and culture of Mongolia. The Festival of Mongolia in NYC was the largest celebration of Mongolian culture and history since the days of the Mongol Empire in the 13th and 14th centuries. The Festival of Mongolia programs were held in 2000, 2001 and 2002 in partnership with American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Wildlife Conservation Society in New York City. These programs included a Mongolian film festival presented by the Margaret Meade Film Festival and the major exhibition of the Fighting Dinosaurs from Mongolia at AMNH. The Festival of Mongolia also included two major exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2000 and 2002.
