Feathered Ambassadors and Friends

Since 1979, Joe and Stephanie Carvalho have produced animal edutainment shows for zoos and theme parks around the world, highlighting their animals' natural and comical behaviors.

That lifelong work has always been rooted in the care of their animals and in outreach and education — for children, for our cherished golden generation, for those who sacrifice for our country, and for animal lovers. Feathered Ambassadors and Friends, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, became a reality in 2004 as a way to bring those programs home and share them where they started.

Today the flock lives at First Heaven Private Sanctuary, home to Feathered Ambassadors and Friends — on The Divide in Coloma, El Dorado County, California.
