Dr. Backbeat

Welcome to Dr. Backbeat — where rock history gets a little stranger. My name is Rick and I'm fascinated by the history of music.

Discover the stories behind the music: forgotten incidents, unlikely studio accidents, legendary riffs, obscure quotes, strange band drama, and the moments that helped shape rock history.

From The Beatles, Queen, Fleetwood Mac and The Rolling Stones to Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, Elvis, Nirvana and beyond, Dr. Backbeat digs into the details you probably weren’t told the first time around.

Expect short, fast-paced music documentaries, rare facts, surprising stories, musician deep dives, famous songs explained, and visual “What If?” experiments imagining how lost rock legends might look or react to the world today.

Rock history. Strange stories. Legendary people.
