Frank Wakefield was born on June 26, 1934  and died on April 26, 2024.
"New Camptown Races", Frank's first original tune, written by Frank in 1953 at the age of nineteen revolutionized to sound of bluegrass instrumentals.
And for the next seventy years Frank's incredible mandolin virtuosity and fearless creativity paved the way for generations of mandolin players.
