The Further Adventures of Lan

Welcome to The Further Adventures of Lan!

For almost 30 years, I thought I knew exactly how my story would unfold. I built a career I was proud of, expecting one day to retire from the company where I'd spent most of my adult life.

Life had other plans.

Being laid off just months before that chapter was supposed to end left me asking:

"Who am I when the career that defined so much of my life is suddenly gone?"

The idea for this channel may have begun as a way to process that loss, but it's become something much bigger. It's where I'll document what comes next—honestly, imperfectly, one adventure at a time.

Some days we'll talk about careers, identity, and starting over. Other days you may find me creating abstract art, exploring places to live around the world, or following whatever curiosity comes next.

I don't have everything figured out. In fact, that's kind of the point.

I hope you'll come along for the journey.

Let's see what the future has in store!
