The Animation of Eva Louise Hall

Eva Louise Hall creates and directs stop motion animated shorts. Through the use of textural aesthetics, tonal horror, and arresting visual metaphor, her films explore the darkest parts of the human condition while exploring our potential for beauty and kindness. She is currently a 2026 Creative Capital Awardee and a top 30 Sony Future Filmmaker finalist out of 5,000+ in 2024.

Her most recent short, 'Mira,' toured the festival circuit to great success throughout 2023-2024, winning top awards in animation and horror categories at Fantastic Fest and SCAD Savannah Film Festival. Her most recent script, 'Pluck,' was awarded a competitive Teri Rodgers Screenwriting Grant by ArtsKC and the KC Film Office, Best Narrative Short Screenplay at Sidewalk Film Festival and most notably received a 2026 Creative Capital award - one of 39 awarded projects out of 4,500 in competition.
