Room 78

Room 78 is a chalkboard, an overhead lamp, and a wall of photographs and documents. Each episode walks you through one documented mystery:

   - A UFO sighting on the official record, a vanishing whose case file is still active, an encounter logged by someone who had
  a career to lose.

  - The verdict a court uses when the evidence runs out is "open." That's what's on the board here. Source material first, no
invention, accuracy notes alongside each case.

Coming up:

Rendlesham Forest, December 1980. Two nights of lights in the trees and a deputy base commander's memo to the Ministry of Defence.

USS Nimitz, November 2004. Commander David Fravor, the Tic Tac, a radar target tracked descending from 80,000 feet to sea level in under a second.

Flannan Isles, December 1900. Three lighthouse keepers gone from Eilean Mòr. Two sets of oilskins missing, one still hanging. A storm-flung fish box found 60 metres up the cliff.

Walk in. Sit down. Look at the wall.
