Dr Emmanuel Fontaine | Puppy & Kitten Health

Science-based veterinary education on the health of puppies and kittens, from before conception to weaning and beyond: dog and cat reproduction, newborn care, weaning and pediatrics, for breeders and veterinary teams.

Hi, I'm Emmanuel, a veterinarian and board-certified specialist in dog and cat reproduction (DVM, PhD, Diplomate ECAR). For over 20 years I have worked with breeders and veterinarians on reproduction and newborn care. I have lectured on 6 continents, and companies hire me to train their breeders and veterinarians in the science of dog and cat reproduction, neonatology and pediatrics.

This channel is where I explain the science behind the decisions that shape healthy puppies and kittens: ovulation timing, pregnancy, whelping and queening, newborn survival, weaning and growth. The goal is simple: put your time and your investment where it truly makes a difference.

Ask me anything in the comments. I read them, and the best questions become videos.
