Electrified Thermal Solutions

Electrified Thermal Solutions is electrifying industrial heat. Developed over eight years at MIT, our electrically-conductive firebricks enable industrial customers to transform intermittent, renewable electricity into industrial heat for even the hottest applications. Through a combination of commodity materials and low-cost off-peak electricity stored as thermal energy, the Joule Hive thermal battery can provide industrial heat at equal or lower cost to today’s fossil-based heating systems, replacing or augmenting any boiler, furnace, or kiln.
