East Main Trains

Jeff and John
Just a couple of train crazy guys with a deep passion for the model train hobby who remember the days when Catoctin Mountain Trains was thriving and wanted to bring model trains back to Thurmont, MD. In a time when mostly you hear of train stores closing, we decided to give the hobby some new life and instead talk about a store opening. With some guidance and encouragement from CMT's owner Paul Johnson, we set out on a mission to make this dream a reality. And we did it! The store is now open, the shelves are full and looking beautiful.

Please stop by and visit. We hope you find something that you just can’t live without that will look amazing on your layout.
