The ELLIS Unit Barcelona is a federated research structure aimed at bringing together outstanding AI researchers from all relevant research institutions in Catalonia, fostering an active and dynamic community of machine learning experts connected with the other ELLIS Units across Europe.

The ELLIS Unit Barcelona is part of the European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS), a pan-European AI network of excellence which focuses on fundamental science, technical innovation and societal impact.
