Dusty Pines Homestead is the name of our little acreage. We have been living here since late 2021.
Our homestead was founded after having a house fire in 2020. We briefly lived in Le Mars after the house fire, but decided to pursue living on an acreage.
We have raised chickens, rabbits, ducks, turkeys, geese, bees, cats, and a dog.
Projects we have accomplished have been planting and expanding gardens, making dandelion jelly, and tapping trees to make maple syrup.
Every year we a learning and growing on our little acreage.
We moved to Iowa in 2014.
Our first church we attended Oakdale Evengelical Free Church, in Meriden.
After the fire and a move to Le Mars we attended LBC, Le Mars Bible Church.
After moving to our acreage we felt called to attend a church plant in Remsen.
We now attend Remsen Bible Fellowship.
I will share more of our story later, but welcome you to our page.
