Duo Syrinx

Duo Syrinx consists of lutenist/guitarist Christine Gebs and soprano Vilde Marie Eikmo. Both have their education from NTNU Institute of Music in Trondheim, where Christine completed her Master's in renaissance lute in the spring of 2025, while Vilde is currently doing a Bachelor's in classical singing. They found each other in a common interest for early music, and especially English lute songs from the Renaissance. They take inspiration from how the text is describing emotions and how this is reinforced by the lute's voice. Their goal is therefore to make a deep connection between music and emotions.

For now their collaboration has resulted in the concert programme “Love In The Time Of the Lute”, which they have performed in Trondheim and Drammen, while a future concert will be at Rissa, Trøndelag in the autumn of 2026.
