Dr. Duane Vandenbusche

This channel hosts a compilation of lectures on the History of Western Colorado, Gunnison, Crested Butte, and the San Juan Mountain region prepared by Dr Duane Vandenbusche.  Dr Vandenbusche is legendary educator, coach, and Colorado outdoorsman. Dr. Vandenbusche retired as professor of history from Western Colorado University in Gunnison, and presents his ongoing research through the Crested Butte History Museum and many other venues.  He served as the official Colorado State Historian; is the author of over 11 books and was  the longest serving active professor at any public higher education institution in the state of Colorado.   This YouTube channel is one way to capture some of Dr. Vandenbusche's  unique contributions to the people of Colorado today, and serves as a reference tool in the future.  This channel will capture as many of his ongoing lectures as possible.
