Dr Leslie Explains

Straight talk for marriages that have been through something.

I'm Dr. Leslie Davis — couples therapist (PsyD, LMFT) with sex-therapy training, a registered nurse, and the former owner of a home care agency. I've sat with hundreds of couples, and I don't want you on my couch in five years. I'd rather hold up a mirror now.

On this channel: the same fight you've been having for 20 years, resentment, low desire and intimacy in long marriages (including after illness), caregiving when your spouse becomes your patient, and the honest question of whether to stay or go — plus what you're contributing to all of it.

Author of the forthcoming book The Caregiving Marriage.

This channel is education, not therapy. If you're in crisis, contact a local professional or emergency services.
