Dr. Marcia Dewey

Dr. Marcia Dewey is an audiologist specializing in tinnitus and sound sensitivities such as hyperacusis and misophonia. She has been with Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin since 2007, the views expressed here are her own. Her focus in tinnitus began in summer of 2008 after a 2 day tinnitus training. The training became an interest, that interest became a passion, that passion became the Tinnitus & Hyperacusis Program. She has completed many trainings including Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) Pawell Jastreboff, Progressive Tinnitus Management (PTM) James Henry and, University of Iowa's Tinnitus Clinic Rich Tyler. This set her up to successfully help people move past tinnitus and sound sensitivity issues. In 2020 Dr. Dewey found the Curable app for chronic pain, opening to the neuroscience behind chronic symptoms -including tinnitus. Pivoting to learning about neuroplastic symptoms has revolutionized her patient care. This channel focuses on what she has learned.
