Denver North High School

North High School, initially Denver North Side High School, started in 1883 within the Ashland School in Highland. The first graduating class in 1886 had six women who achieved a record 98% average. Following Highland's annexation by Denver in 1896, the school's enrollment increased, prompting the construction of its Beaux Arts building completed in 1911. This structure, then named Denver North High School, is the oldest high school building currently in use in Denver.
