Dead North Film Festival

The Dead North Film Festival. Eight winters of horror, science fiction and fantasy short films made north of 60.

From 2012 to 2020, filmmakers across the circumpolar North had nine weeks in the darkest part of the year to write, shoot and finish a genre short. Every film that made the deadline screened in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, the audience voted, and the Zombear went to the best of them. 225+ films later, this is the archive.

All films and their IP belong to the amazing Northerners who made them.

Dead North is a Rated-N project. Yellowknife.
