Dolk’s sound can come across as pretty extroverted, which is ironic, given that its members are anything but. Once upon a time, they were part of well-known bands like Angels Die Hard, Gore Slut, Maxon Blewitt, and Wilderwolves. While their former bandmates struck gold, these three found themselves slogging away in the gritty suburbs of Deurne-Zuid. That struggle sometimes seeps into their music, giving it a dark, melancholic undertone. Dolk punches, pleases, and bites—and serves you a stiff drink.
