Cypress Key

Cypress Key is the latest project from New Orleans born resident musician Mazz. After a decade in NYC, Mazz returned home to chronicle life growing up in NOLA through tales of laughter and joy, as well as the harsh reality of life in the deep south. Cypress Key currently consists of Mazz on all instruments with Darren Blanchard and Lisanne on vocals. All songs written and produced by Mazz.

With his debut single, “Monday Afternoon,” Cypress Key, the new musical project by New Orleans-born artist Mazz, shows that even the simplest stories can connect deeply with people. After spending ten years in New York City, Mazz returned home to Louisiana, finding a sense of belonging. Cypress Key was created from this return, aiming to capture the essence of life in the deep South. With “Monday Afternoon,” he invites listeners to step into his kitchen, his neighborhood, and his memories.
