CWAS (Cycling Without Age Singapore)

CWAS is a charity dedicated to ending senior loneliness by creating opportunities for meaningful human connection and purposeful volunteering. Enabling seniors to age with joy, purpose and belonging.

Through trishaw rides, befriending and community programmes, we enable and empower seniors to step outside, build relationships, stay connected and contribute to the communities around them. These programs can prevent loneliness becoming a health and care crisis as prolong loneliness can significantly increases the risks of depression, anxiety and dementia.

The charity is working on an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) and Social Prescribing approach to enable communities uncovering their own strengths, like seniors who can be trishaw pilots, mechanics, or arts workshop reminiscence facilitators, non-seniors can also be active contributors and collectively across multi generations, solving social challenges together and build a more connected and caring neighbourhood.
