Rob Rainer | Control Lattice

Practical engineering for complex machines. I’m Rob Rainer, Managing Director and Principal Engineer at Control Lattice Systems. I share field-tested perspectives on controls, automation, observability, scientific instrumentation, accelerators, industrial systems, and engineering leadership—drawing on more than 15 years building and operating mission-critical R&D systems.

This channel is for engineers, technical leaders, researchers, and anyone curious about how complicated machines actually work—and how to make them understandable, reliable, and maintainable. It also explores ideas from The Observable Machine: designing systems that can explain themselves.
