CheFEM 3 Simulation | Composite Analytica

CheFEM 3 is a physics-based simulation platform for predicting the effects of chemical, thermal and mechanical exposure on polymers and composites.

Developed by Composite Analytica, CheFEM 3 combines calibrated equations of state, chemical transport models and finite element analysis (FEA) to predict:

• Gas and multicomponent permeation
• Sorption, swelling and chemical resistance
• Exposure-dependent stiffness, strength and failure limits
• Rapid gas decompression (RGD)
• Flexible-pipe annulus pressure (API 17J)
• Fugitive emissions and service life

This channel features software demonstrations, technical updates and engineering applications. CheFEM 3 supports workflows with Abaqus, Ansys and Excel.

Organizations using CheFEM 3 include Shell, Petrobras, NASA, Boeing and Hexcel.
