Clark County Recycling District (Indiana)

Clark County Recycling District (IN) offers residential curbside service and drop-off recycling alternatives.  Clark County Ordinance 1993-OR-34 established the mandatory recycling program in June 1993.  Curbside service is available in Clarksville, Jeffersonville, and Sellersburg.  The cost is $34 per residential household in the curbside area and is billed on the property tax statement.  Five drop-off recycling sites are available to residents in the unincorporated areas of Clark County at a cost of  $17 per household billed on the property tax statement.  The drop-off locations are:  Henryville (102 S. Furgeson St.); New Washington (412 S. Poplar St.); Starlight (St. Johns/Rake Rd.); Borden (14304 Hwy. 60); and the main office at 112 Industrial Way (Charlestown).  The Charlestown location coordinates household hazardous waste, scrap metal, and electronics recycling.  CCRD programs reduce the amount of solid waste for disposal to extend the life of the Clark & Floyd Co. Landfill.
