Cassan Kimani

Africa is changing. AI is redefining learning, technology is reshaping childhood, and legacy systems struggle with modern complexity. What future are we actually building?

Welcome to The Idea Film—an Afrocentric visual toolkit created by Pan-African filmmaker Cassan Kimani in collaboration with author Abdifatah Osman Hussein.

We turn high-impact questions on AI, education, Indigenous knowledge, and governance into cinematic films, visual essays, and soundscapes. Cassan creates the visual entry point; Abdifatah develops the deeper book argument.

Core Inquiries:
• Can AI transform African education without erasing local knowledge?
• What happens when convenience kills childhood curiosity?
• Can Africa build a digital future anchored in its identity?
