Carnot Engines

Carnot Engines is a UK start-up making the most efficient engines in the world. Whilst conventional combustion engines operate between 30 - 35% efficiency, a Carnot Engine can operate at over 70% break thermal efficiency. By doubling efficiency, we half fuel consumption, delivering enormous cost savings to our customers. A Carnot Engine can also use any fuel, and switch anytime, running on Hydrogen, Ammonia, Methanol, Biofuels, Biogas, LNG, LPG and Diesel to name a few. By combining high efficiency with a multi-fuel approach, we can reduce the cost and risk of decarbonising for heavy-duty power across the Maritime sector, Road Transport, Power Generation and portable Generators. Fundamentally, this technology can replace the diesel engine as the prime source of power.
