BAKING THROUGH IT

Running a bakery in Canada. Somehow, we’re making it through another day. 🍁🍞

I’m the owner of Kanadell Japanese Bakery, a small Japanese bakery in Vancouver, Canada.

I started out selling bread at local farmers’ markets and, after plenty of twists and turns, eventually opened my own brick-and-mortar bakery.

That might sound like a picture-perfect small business success story… but the reality is a lot less glamorous. 😂

There’s baking, developing new products, farmers’ markets, managing staff and running the business — plus broken equipment, slow sales, and plenty of “Why is this happening?!” moments.

This channel is a look at the real everyday life of running a small bakery in Canada — struggles, mistakes, occasional chaos and all.

If you love bakeries, are curious about running a business abroad, or you’re simply doing your best to make it through another day too, come along for the ride. ☺️
