SSDA

Established in January 1983, the Small School Districts’ Association (SSDA) advocates for California’s small and rural school districts with average daily attendance (ADA) under 5,000 students, empowering educational leaders to ensure the success of every student. What began with just four districts has grown to over 400 member districts, representing over two-thirds of the small school districts across the state.

SSDA provides legislative advocacy and practical programs designed to help small school districts save time, reduce costs, and achieve meaningful outcomes for students. The Association’s success is driven by the commitment and leadership of small school district administrators, reinforcing the belief that small schools deliver big results.
