CSU Div Lifelong Learning & Workforce Development

Cleveland State University’s Division of Continuing and Extended Education is focused on building a skills-based talent pipeline that meets the needs of both learners and employers. As technology and career pathways evolve, our workforce certificates and certifications offer flexible, targeted opportunities for upskilling and reskilling. Every learner who completes a CSU workforce certificate or certification earns a digital badge verifying their achieved competencies, creating a portable and transparent record of skills. By emphasizing performance-based validation and trusted credentials, CSU helps strengthen Ohio’s workforce by expanding equitable pathways to career mobility and economic opportunity.

Microcredentials at CSU encompass a wide range of non-credit learning experiences, all designed with one goal in mind: workforce relevance. Whether earned through a standalone certificate, an industry-recognized certification, or any other short-form, work-based training.
