CSO Platform for Reform

CSO Platform for Reform was established in the wake of a pivotal political transition in Malaysia, driven by the urgent need for institutional reform. In 2018, following the formation of the Institutional Reform Committee by the newly elected Government, a broad coalition of civil society organizations (CSOs) came together to prepare and submit a comprehensive set of recommendations. Building on this momentum, these organizations formalized their collaboration by launching the CSO Platform for Reform in May 2018, aiming to translate reform aspirations into sustained, tangible outcomes.

Today, the CSO Platform for Reform is a vibrant coalition of over 71 member organizations across Malaysia, united in their commitment to advancing institutional reform nationwide. By fostering collective action, policy engagement, and public discourse, the CSO Platform for Reform plays an integral role in shaping a more transparent, accountable, and democratic Malaysia.
