CNC Beginner's Guide

This channel is here to help you learn the basics of CAD (computer aided design), CAM (Computer aided manufacturing) and CNC machining using Autodesk Fusion. These tutorials will take you through all the basics in a linear, logical order and works together with the book, "CNC Beginner's Guide" by Steven Thompson.

First, there are a series of introductory videos to get you started with the basics of using Autodesk Fusion.

From there I teach the fundamentals of CAD, CAM and CNC machining through a series of projects that each go through the entire process from start to finish. Project 1 starts off with a simple part and each project gets slightly more complex. Work your way through the projects in order to go from the basics to more advanced concepts.

These tutorials will eventually go over programming and machining on CNC mills, CNC lathes and CNC routers. Concepts will range from simple 2D and 3D machining on 3-axis machines to more complex 5-axis and multi-axis machining.
