Established in 2001, The Clearing Corporation of India Limited (CCIL), is a central counterparty (CCP) providing clearing and settlement services for a wide range of financial instruments, from Government Securities and Money Market instruments to Foreign Exchange and OTC Derivatives. Authorized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as a Payment System Operator in India, CCIL’s mission is to promote efficiency, systemic and financial stability, and safety by mitigating counterparty and settlement risk. As a systemically important financial market infrastructure, it plays a pivotal role in India's financial landscape, contributing significantly to the growth and stability of the financial markets.
